China Public Holidays - Hope it Can Help You Make a Good Plan of Your China Tour

China public holidays are mostly made of traditional festivals. Some holidays even dates back to pre-Civil war era. New Year’s Day and May Day are the only international holidays celebrated in China as public holidays. The list of China public holidays 2014 is available below. Some holidays fall on Saturday or Sunday; and it is normal since people in China have seven workdays.

Please note that this is not the official 2014 China public holidays calendar. The China government will usually announce the official China holidays dates before the closing of the preceding year (in this case by the end of 2015). China 2016/2017/2018 public holidays calendar presented here is only an estimate.

China has seven legal holidays in a year, including New Year's Day, Chinese New Year (Spring Festival), Qingming Festival, May Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Day and National Day. The table below provides a detailed list of 2016 / 2017 / 2018 public holidays. Hope it can help you make a good plan of your China tour

At the above seven festivals, Chinese people can enjoy days off. Besides, they celebrate four other festivals on which some people have a half day off - Women's Day, Youth Day, Children's Day and Army Day. Many other galas and anniversaries are celebrated even without days off, such as Arbor Day and Teachers' Day.
